A ten-minute drive from the Ranch, Butcher Jones Recreation Area features a gently sloping beach that makes safe, gradual changes in depths and is adjacent to a picnic/grilling area.

 

This popular recreation area is one of the most visited sites in the Tonto National Forest. Be sure to have a Tonto Parking Pass before you head to the lake to explore. Butcher Jones is also where we launch our lake kayaking and guided trips.
