Come be our guest and enjoy authentic Ranch cuisine! Depending on the time of year, our Seasonal Dining Plan offers different meal options for lodging guests.

Deluxe Boxed Lunches For Water Activity Guests

Water activity guests (kayaking, paddle boarding, or rafting) may pre-order a deluxe boxed lunch to take on an adventure with them or have a picnic here at the Ranch. Choose from one of Chef’s signature sandwiches, which includes chips, veggies & dip, fresh fruit, and a homemade cookie or sweet treat.

Lodging guests staying from October 4, 2024 to May 4, 2025 will have a boxed lunch included in their room rate, if the lodging reservation was booked directly via the ranch. Reservations booked through a third party (Expedia, Booking.com, AirBnB, etc) may purchase the boxed lunches for an additional cost.

From May 5, 2025 - September 30, 2025, boxed lunches can be purchased for an additional cost by all lodging guests.

Got a sweet tooth? We’ll have you covered with Chef’s choice of homemade dessert!

At Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch, we offer different culinary experiences depending on the season, providing an array of dinners and lunches for our lodging guests.

 

We also offer a limited number of seats available for the public to join us for these dinners. All dinners are hosted in the dining room of our historical main lodge.

Seasonal Dining Plans Included with Lodging

From October 4, 2024 - May 4, 2025, our Modified American Plan features a hearty Ranch breakfast, boxed lunch to take with you on your adventures, and a dinner experience that will fill your belly and your heart. Please note, boxed lunches are included with direct bookings and are available for a small fee if booked through a third party.

From May 5, 2025 - September 30, 2025, our Bed & Breakfast Rate allows you to wake up and join us in the Saguaro Dining Room for hot coffee and a hearty Ranch breakfast included in your stay. Boxed lunches are also available to purchase for an additional cost.

 

Hot Ranch Breakfast:

Every morning in our historic Saguaro Dining Room of the Main Lodge, we serve up a hot ranch breakfast for all of our lodging guests. Our breakfast includes either waffles, pancakes, french toast, or special breakfast entrée, bacon OR sausage, hash browns OR country potatoes, scrambled eggs, assorted fruit, and oatmeal/cereal options. Our menu changes daily, and we also include fresh coffee, tea, and juice.

Deluxe Boxed Lunches:


For lunch, choose one of our Chef's signature sandwiches, which comes with chips, veggies & dip, fresh fruit, and a homemade cookie or sweet treat. All this goodness is boxed up for you to take on your next adventure or picnic!

  • Monday - Friday, our Chef invites you to join us in the Saguaro Dining Room for a handcrafted three-course dinner.

  • On Select Weekends, you'll be the guest of honor at our public Cowboy Cookouts and Brisket & Burgers BBQ's in front of the Main Lodge. These events often feature live music! Click Here to view a calendar of our Public Dinner Events. If a public Cowboy Cookout or Brisket & Burgers BBQ is not available during your stay, the included dinner will be a three-course meal served in the Saguaro Dining Room, as described above.

  • A selection of beer and wine is available at all dinners for purchase at an additional cost.

Meet Chef Scott

Chef Scott Heinonen is a 1994 graduate from The School of Hotel and Restaurant Management at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. Over the past 30 years Heinonen has cooked throughout the Southwest, Pacific Northwest and Northern California. Additionally, he has attended numerous continuing education courses at The Culinary Institute of America Greystone in Napa Valley.

 

Most recently, Heinonen spent time as the Assistant General Manager at Under Canvas, a glamping resort near Bryce Canyon National Park in Southern Utah. He is excited to be back in the kitchen with Saguaro Lake Ranch and looking forward to guiding its culinary program to new heights!
