Whether you’re here for an active vacation, a weekend wedding, a corporate retreat, or just to relax and unwind, Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch is the perfect destination.
Adventures for All Ages
On the shaded lawn you’ll find a heated swimming pool and shuffleboard court. We also have a ping-pong table, horseshoes, croquet, badminton, and volleyball available.
Inside the main lodge, you’ll discover a cheerful living room with a majestic four-sided river-rock fireplace, wagon wheel lights, western art, easy chairs, and many historic artifacts. You’ll also find a recreation room with games, a billiard table, and a television. Nearby is a multi-purpose room used for meetings, parties, or any type of large gathering.
Enjoy The Great Outdoors
On the banks of the river you’ll find our stables and horse corrals, where guests are introduced to their horses before heading out on our desert trails. Our trail rides operate full time from October through April and limited rides throughout the summer months.
If you’re here in the warmer months, try your hand at kayaking the Lower Salt River (May/June through September) or the beautiful Saguaro Lake (October through May). And if you’ve never tried river tubing, this is your chance to savor the majestic Lower Salt River in all its glory as you serenely float downstream in a large inner tube, watching wildlife, chatting with friends and family, and enjoying the cool water and the warm sun. Tubing season runs from May/June through September.
We have numerous hiking trails, also perfect for trail running, in the area ranging from easy to extremely challenging. The area is also very popular with mountain bikers and road bicyclists, so feel free to bring your bike; or, we will be happy to recommend places in nearby Mesa to rent one.
Relax & Unwind
If you’re just looking to relax, unwind, and escape the city for a few days, our property can cater to you too. Read a book on your porch or in the main lodge, or do a little bird-watching. If you like to fish, you’re in the right place. Fishing is very popular on the Lower Salt River; one of the most overlooked fishing experiences in Arizona is trout fishing the river below Saguaro Lake – right on our doorstep!
After the sun sets, sit around our campfire roasting marshmallows and gaze at the unending night sky. We have a very dark eastern sky revealing a galaxy of stars that will put all life’s worries into perspective!
